Elements and Performance Criteria
- Determine theoretical performance.
- Identify item of plant and plant component(s) to be analysed.
- Locate and interpret design specification.
- Identify process materials being processes/to be processed during verification trial.
- Determine process material properties under process conditions.
- Calculate theoretical performance of component(s) with that material under those conditions.
- Conduct trial.
- Design verification trial to be compatible with theoretical analysis.
- Determine measurements needed from trial to yield required data.
- Select equipment suitable to give required measurements.
- Arrange for verification trial with relevant process personnel.
- Set up required measurement equipment.
- Supervise trial and ensure trial conditions are appropriate.
- Collect trial data for analysis.
- Verify performance of component(s).
- Recommend required action.
